Description

This item is an oversized item and additional shipping charges will apply.

New OE Made in USA genuine Sanden SD7H15 4711 508 A/C Compressor satin finish, not polished, with an eight groove serpentine clutch. The output of this compressor is 154CC or 9.36 CID. This fits many Hot Rod and Street Rod applications and is show car quality. It is compatible for use with R-12 or R134A refrigerant. Installation should be done by a qualified A/C technician.  The compressor contains assembly oil only and should be drained and filled with the 4.5 fl oz of the proper oil that matches your refrigerant. This is a SD7 series Sanden 508 that has 7 pistons inside with 6 bolts on the compressor head. This is not the smaller SD5 series compressors with 5 pistons and 5 bolts on the compressor head. The smaller SD5 series compressors with 5 pistons and 5 bolts on the compressor head give off a very loud harmonic noise, often louder than the engine itself on LS/LT series engines.

Features: Sanden 508 is Compatible with R-12 and R134A freon.

WARRANTY

Compressors come with a one year warranty from the manufacturer. If you need to return a compressor for a warranty, we have to return it to the manufacturer to get it tested and this may take several weeks. The manufacturer will determine if it was installed and oiled correctly. You will be responsible for all shipping costs.

When a compressor fails, it often floods the A/C system with debris. If certain parts (the orifice tube/expansion valve and drier/accumulator) are not replaced and a full system flush is not performed when installing a replacement compressor, even the best new compressor may not perform properly. For this reason, it is important to clear the system of debris and replace all of the parts that were compromised when the first compressor failed. Because improper installation leads to compressor damage, the warranty terms on A/C compressors are very specific and the warranty is valid only if it was installed correctly. It's the responsibility of the customer to check the oil capacity on all compressors.  We highly recommend draining the oil and adding the correct PAG oil viscosity and appropriate volume for the application.  We will not warranty any compressor installed without proof of installation/drier and metering device.  Condenser required on some compressors. The Sanden 508 model 4711 requires 4.5 fl.oz. of SP-15. The Mini Sanden Model 7D7B10 7176 requires 3.4 fl.oz. of SP-10. Please follow all local, state and federal regulations when servicing mobile A/C systems.
